About
Dashrath Manjhi Pahad in Gehlaur represents one of the world's most inspiring stories of sheer human willpower and love. Dashrath Manjhi, famously known as the 'Mountain Man', carved a 110-meter long, 9-meter wide path straight through a formidable rocky hill using only a hammer and chisel over 22 years (1959–1982). His monumental effort shortened the distance between Atri and Wazirganj blocks of Gaya from 55 km to a mere 15 km, forever changing the lives of local villagers.
