The Vishnupad Temple is situated on the scenic banks of the Phalgu river in Gaya, Bihar. This historic temple is renowned for housing a 40-cm long footprint of Lord Vishnu stamped on solid basalt, known as Dharmasila. Visited by millions of Hindu devotees annually, particularly during the sacred Pitru Paksha Mela, it is a crucial site for performing Pinda Daan (post-death rituals) for ancestors to attain salvation (moksha).
